Anyway, I happen to love the Japanese anime-style cartoons. I have since I was a kid in the 60’s watching Astroboy in black and white on the old Motorola TV set. So, just as you would expect, I had to go on a drawing binge, copying ideas from the books, but putting my own spin on them.

Very cool, Fred! I always appreciate artists, of any style or skill level.
My 13-year-old granddaughter, who has been drawing practically since birth, is lately into anime and has created her own characters. When I say lately, I mean for the past few years. Before that she was drawing characters from the sci-fi/fantasy books her mom got her hooked on. That and the video games her parents play. She comes by the art bug honestly — my daughter draws, I draw and my parents were both artists, my dad professionally, as an architectural illustrator and landscape artist.
